Welcome to Fourth Grade!

What is Fourth Grade learning about right now?

We are currently working on comparing and ordering large numbers, as well as rounding and estimating. We are reviewing our multiplication basic facts as well.

In reading we are reading Because of Winn Dixie and studying character traits.

Writing complete sentences, not run-ons or fragments, in preparation for paragraphs and short stories is our writing focus. In social studies we are writing our own Constitution, keeping up with current events and learning about the states. We will be starting a science unit on the human body

What can we look forward to this year?

We will do some cool science projects, create slideshows as we study the states, and have State of Maine studies all year long.
